Join the Mizuho team as a Senior Data Architect!
Major Responsibilities:
- Collaborating to build reference architecture
- Documenting reference architecture: conceptual, logical and physical
- Communication and mentoring of architectural landscape in-team and cross-team
- Assisting engineering teams in all aspects with executing against architecture
Requirements:
- 10+ years working as a professional data architect
- Strong data modelling and building data contracts between producers/consumers
- Experience with designing modern data pipelines (especially in the cloud space) w/ data governance
- Principals and pragmatics of a medallion architecture
- Lambda architecture – streaming/batch
- Discipline for architecture/design documentation (conceptual, logical, physical)
- Micro services approach/design
- Working with data governance tooling within pipeline. I.e. Data Quality, Lineage, Cataloging, Data profiling and Observability
- Designing for analytical layers for various use cases and business disciplines inclusive of AI enablement.
- Financial background. Prefer knowledge in Derivatives, Cash, Finance and Banking products.
- Platform-wise, familiarity with: Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka, MDM tooling, and governance related tooling.
- Data Observability / SRE
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective presentation skills

The expected base salary ranges from $190k-$250k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
