We are seeking an IT Help Desk Specialist to support the technology needs of our campus. This on-site role is responsible for assisting end-users, managing IT infrastructure, maintaining internal and external systems, and assessing future technology needs to enhance operations.
Key Responsibilities:Network & System Administration- Oversee, install, manage, and maintain Jersey College's IT network, ensuring system security and efficiency.
- Maintain operational integrity of all information technology equipment and software.
- Administer and monitor internal servers, intranet, and extranet sites.
- Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage the IT help desk, ensuring timely resolution of support requests.
- Develop and conduct training for faculty, staff, and students on IT systems and best practices.
- Create user-friendly documentation and resources to improve technology adoption and efficiency.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend relevant solutions to enhance the institution’s IT infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to optimize IT solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
