What you can expect as an IT Internal Auditor:
- Identify and assess IT, operational, and compliance risks through assurance, consulting, and solutions management activities.
- Assist in performing audits of IT infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity practices, and data integrity.
- Support the execution of IT general controls (ITGCs) testing, including access controls, change management, and system operations.
- Help evaluate the design and effectiveness of controls related to information systems and related business processes.
- Document audit procedures, testing results, and supporting evidence clearly and accurately.
- Assist in identifying and evaluating risks related to IT operations, including data privacy, system availability, and cybersecurity threats.
- Prepare clear and concise audit documentation and summaries for review by senior team members.
- Communicate findings, issues, and recommendations to audit team members and, as appropriate, to IT stakeholders.
- Actively participate in training and development activities to build knowledge of auditing techniques and emerging IT risks.
- Stay informed on new technologies, security threats, and best practices in IT auditing.
What we are looking for as an IT Internal Auditor:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Security, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Zero (0) to two (2) years of IT auditing, cybersecurity, IT operations, or related fields. Financial Services industry preferred but not required.
- CISA, CISM, or CIA certification is a plus.
- Understanding of audit methodology and aptitude to apply your knowledge to the business overall preferred but not required.
