This position is part of IT Novanta’s Corporate and Shared Services global teams. IT Corporate and Shared Services teams play an important role in executing the company’s strategic mission and operations. Included in Corporate and Shared Services are the business functions including Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, Compliance, Corporate Development and Corporate Marketing. The Corporate and Shared Services teams work closely with all Novanta business units to support operating initiatives contributing to the organization’s financial success.
Primary Responsibilities
- Second Level Support for all IT Applications
- Forwarding of non-resolvable support requests to third level support
- Consultation with users and review of project requirements
- Project management in cooperation with the technical project manager
- Preparation and monitoring of project plans and project budget.
- Reports to the project owner and/or steering committee
- Customizing (customization) of applications to meet project objectives
- Participation in the creation of project documentation
- Management and supervision of external service providers within the project processing
- Develops solution proposals for the technical further development of application software
- Plans the update of application software in cooperation with the IT Infrastructure Team
Required Experience, Education, Skills and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field desired
- Strong experience with Business Processes
- Experience working in an Engineering and Manufacturing company; prior experience working with ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.) strongly desired
- Prior experience with Supply Chain processes desired
- Professional experience in a consulting environment or in-depth IT application knowledge
- Expert SQL Fluency (Well versed in CTEs and window functions)
- Experience in project leadership and project management
- Analytical, conceptual and process-oriented
- Independent and team-oriented, communicative, assertive
- Fluency in written and spoken English

Compensation and Benefits
- The base pay for this position ranges from $95,289 to $142,283 per year depending on the geographic market.
- This position may be eligible for an annual bonus based on performance.
