IT Application Design Lead

Are you passionate about creating visually stunning and user-friendly designs? Do you thrive in a dynamic and innovative environment? Red Bull is looking for an Application Design Lead to spearhead our design system and guidelines for enterprise applications.

As the Application Design Lead, you will be responsible for Red Bull’s design system and design guidelines for enterprise applications. You will also shape and maintain our design processes. You will guide and mentor fellow designers and team members, challenge the status quo, and identify ways to improve the overall UI design of our applications. You will also advise internal teams and stakeholders on visual design strategies and tasks. You will provide Art Direction for various media design activities and identify trends in design-related matters.

STRATEGIC OWNERSHIP OF THE DESIGN SYSTEM

You will be responsible for shaping the future of our design system and visual language. Presenting the system’s mission, library, and processes to stakeholders is crucial, as well as providing theming and customization standards. You will also shape the technical tooling landscape for the design process, effectively bridging the gap between design and engineering.

UI DESIGN LEADERSHIP FOR DIGITAL PROJECTS

In this role, you will ensure the quality of UI design in all aspects and steer our UI design process. Establishing a range of external design partners and consultants will be key to your success. You will provide UI expertise in projects you support and articulate your recommendations to stakeholders. Acting as the UX Lead on select projects will be part of your leadership responsibilities.

MATURITY AND AWARENESS FOR UX

You will support the team in the continuous development of the UX function, advocating the UX team’s mission, methods, and processes. Increasing visibility and awareness for UX and its potentials is essential. Your role will ensure a high level of maturity in the digital design process.

CONSULTING VISUAL DESIGN ACTIVITIES

Providing recommendations for visual and digital design activities will be part of your consulting responsibilities. You will support various design-related topics and act as a design consultant for your IT colleagues.

Experienced design professional with experience in developing digital products from start to finish

Relevant knowledge of state-of-the-art design processes, methods and tools

Programming experience an advantage

Solid understanding of building and maintaining design systems at scale

Strong conceptual thinking and problem solving skills - especially when creating prototypes at various levels of detail

Agile and flexible personality with the ability to iterate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders and external partners.

Enjoy communicating and presenting with/to stakeholders to explore ideas with them and help them find better ways of doing things

Communicate effectively with users, designers, developers and business leaders

Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 2,471 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
