Job Description:
A vacancy for a Software Engineer has arisen within the Mission A/C & Ground Software Department. We develop onboard and on ground mission systems to manage the different inputs and data from different sensors (EOIR, AIS, Radar, DataLinks) and provide an enriched tactical picture to the operators (Pilots, Co-Pilots, C2 operators, etcetera) enabling mission planning, monitoring, execution and debriefing capabilities.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the detailed design, implementation and verification of software components, and the configuration and deployment of the software components to be delivered into the different environments (development and integration). In addition, the candidate will participate in the evolution of the overall software and deployment architecture to adapt the current mission software products to the needs of our new customers.
The candidate will be part of an existing and experienced team that will allow him/her to learn and grow in a professional environment. The candidate will find a motivated and cooperative software department where his/her experiences and technical knowledge along with the capacity to understand the different system needs.
Besides the technical requirements the candidate has to be open minded, innovative, decisive and willing to participate in its working environment.
Responsabilities
Your main activities will include:
Analysis of functional system requirements.
Definition of Software requirements.
SW Implementation and coding (C++ / QML) of SW Components and services.
Definition of Software Qualification Tests.
Verification of SW (Execution of: Unit Test, Component Test and Integration Test).
Validation of SW Requirements and Qualification Tests.
SW Components configuration (GIT)
SW Problem Resolution management (Changes Proposal and/or SW bugs)
Focal Point with the rest of organizations of the assigned functionality (problem analysis, support, improvement ideas, etc)
Required Skills
Educated in a Science Computer, Telecommunication, Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent discipline.
At least 2 - 3 years of experience in a related field.
Advanced knowledge and experience in C/C++ language is required.
Advanced knowledge and experience in the whole Software Development Cycle is required (Requirements, Design, Implementation, Validation & Verification).
Proven experience on development of avionics protocols: AFDX, ARINC-429, 1553, etc.
Knowledge and experience with linux OS is required.
Knowledge & experience with SW design patterns, SOA.
Be eligible for Security Personal Clearance up to NATO/OCCAR SECRET.
Will be highly appreciated but not mandatory
Knowledge of Local network configuration and knowledge of network protocols.
Experience on ISR Sensor integration: Radar, EO/IR, IFF, AIS, ADS-B, MAD, Acoustic, Anti-pollution system, Armament, etc.
Experience on GIS technologies (Carmenta, ILOGMaps)
Knowledge of HMI middleware (QT/QML) is desirable.
Knowledge of PaaS model / services based development.
Knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, mySQL, Oracle) is desirable.
Experience on Agile methodology and Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc)
Knowledge of Mission Systems
