Job Description:

A vacancy for a Software Engineer has arisen within the Mission A/C & Ground Software Department. We develop onboard and on ground mission systems to manage the different inputs and data from different sensors (EOIR, AIS, Radar, DataLinks) and provide an enriched tactical picture to the operators (Pilots, Co-Pilots, C2 operators, etcetera) enabling mission planning, monitoring, execution and debriefing capabilities.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the detailed design, implementation and verification of software components, and the configuration and deployment of the software components to be delivered into the different environments (development  and integration). In addition, the candidate will participate in the evolution of the overall software and deployment architecture to adapt the current mission software products to the needs of our new customers.

The candidate will be part of an existing and experienced team that will allow him/her to learn and grow in a professional environment. The candidate will find a motivated and cooperative software department where his/her experiences and technical knowledge along with the capacity to understand the different system needs.

Besides the technical requirements the candidate has to be open minded, innovative, decisive and willing to participate in its working environment.

Required Skills:
• At least 2 - 3 years of experience in a related field
• Advance knowledge and experience in C/C++ language is required

• Advance knowledge and experience in the whole Software Development Cycle is required (Requirements, Design, Implementation, Validation & Verification)
• Knowledge and experience with linux OS is required. Specific experience with SUSE Linux distribution is desirable.

• Knowledge of HMI middelaware (QT) is desiderable.

• Knowledge of SQL databases (postgress, mySQL, Oracle) is desiderable.
• Knowledge & experience with Sw design patterns
• Knowledge and experience with Software Verification (unit testing, SW/SW integration testing, SW/HW integration testing, black box testing, non-regression testing) is beneficial
• Knowledge of Agile methods (SCRUM, KANBAN, SAFe) is beneficial

Will be very highly appreciated knowledge in any/several of these competences:

  • Experience in Network Architectures (CCNA certification)

  • Experience in Software Virtualization Architectures (focused on HA and/or FT solutions) and Designs (VMWare vSphere, Hyper-V, Dockers, etc)

  • Knowledge of security principles, best practices, and normative/regulation/standards such as: INFOSEC NATO Directives, RTCA_DO-326A / ED202A, RTCA_DO-356, ED203A, MIL-HDBK-1785, CCN-STIC-301, CCN-STIC-302, etc.

  • Experience on GIS and HMI technologies: Carmenta, Rogue Wave (former ILOG) Maps, OpenGL, Rogue Wave Views, Qt.

  • Experience in Software integration of ISR Sensors: Radar, EO/IR, IFF, AIS, ADS-B, MAD, ESM, Acoustic, Armament, etc

  • Experience on Avionics protocols: ARINC-429, 1553, AFDX, etc
