Survol des théories et des pratiques liées à l'apprentissage et à la conception de matériel pédagogique dans l'optique du développement de compétences et de l'apprentissage continu, tant à un niveau personnel, organisationnel que sociétal. Le cours aborde les différents rôles des professionnels de l'information, notamment celui de la formation relativement aux services d'information, celui de permettre aux utilisateurs d'effectuer des recherches indépendantes, et le rôle qu'ils exercent à l'égard de la formation du personnel.
