What You’ll Do:
As the Supplier QualityEngineer, you will spearhead SupplierQuality for the Company as a whole, ensuring top qualityand delivery standards are achieved year over year.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
- Understands the Automotive Advanced Planning Quality Process (APQP), to lead the auditingof new or existingsuppliers to ensuretheir Quality System processes and productspecifications are alignedto the Com- pany’s standards.
- Oversees any quality or delivery issue with suppliers, setting up action plans and validation programs,to bring obstacles to resolution.
- Reports supplier ratings,and related corrective actions (whereapplicable), to the leadership group monthly and quarterly to understand the Quality statusof suppliers, as well as preferred suppliers for purchasing.
- Works with cross-functional teams to understand material needsand coordinates thoseneeds with suppliers to ensurethe specifications of the materials are understood and productis received within compliance.
- Reviews material test data on product standards to validate and ensure materials are in line with company QualitySystem standards.
Position Requirements:
- Education: An Associate’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Technical, or relatedfield preferred; would consider a combination of course work and experience.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a Manufacturing and Quality Inspection position required; automotive experience preferred. Experience in Quality Systems,creating processflow diagramming, auditing techniques, and other related inspection checklists preferred.
- Certification(s): ASQ Certified Quality Auditor or equivalent certification preferred; or will get certification within 2 years of accepting position. Six Sigma, Green belt or Black Belt preferred.
- Functional Skills: Strong math, algebra,and statistical skills required; strong attention to detail,analytical skills, and the ability to problem-solve and make solid judgments required. Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and create results.Ability to read and interpretblueprints is required.
- Technology Aptitude/Skills: Solid Microsoft OfficeSkillset; ability to learn and use in-house ERP and soft- ware systems.
- Language Skills:Solid verbal and written communication skills; will presentto others.
- Leadership/Behaviors: Strong collaboration/influencing skillsto effectively implement change,with a strong work ethic who Leads by Example. Able to take initiative, work independently, and is forward-thinking,

Other Important Information:
Salary: Salary is commensurate with proven expertise.
This positionis eligible for profit sharing! And, the compensation will grow as theteam member grows!
Reports To: Production Quality Engineer
Core Hours: 7:00am – 4:00pm (schedule can be flexible;will work approx.9 hours within this timeframe) TypicalWork Week: M-F; some weekends required (whenapplicable); 45 – 50 hours a week on average Direct Reports: None
Work Conditions: Lifting up to 30 lbs.; exposure to movingparts and equipment.
Travel: Approximately 20% (typically betweenfacilities and visits to suppliers)

Skills Required
