Join Ericsson's IPR & Licensing team as an Intellectual Property (IP) Rights Policy Researcher - Lawyer and engage in a dynamic role that bridges technology and policy. This paid internship offers a comprehensive opportunities to explore the intersections of innovation, technology, and IP rights.
What you will do:
  • Conduct research and draft policy papers, position papers, and other publications on SEPs and standardization topics.
  • Collaborate with Ericsson's technical and legal teams to identify and articulate key messages that highlight Ericsson's leadership in 5G and 6G innovation.
  • Develop clear, engaging content for infographics, videos, and other communication materials aimed at educating policymakers and industry stakeholders.
  • Contribute to projects and initiatives that promote understanding of Standard Essential Patents (SEPs), Fair, Reasonable and Non-Discriminatory (FRAND) terms, and standardization policy.
  • Support the IPR Policy Team in internal and external communication activities that reinforce Ericsson's thought leadership in the IP ecosystem.

The skills you bring:
  • Excellent English command in written and oral communication
  • Law degree with completed or ongoing specialization in IP(Intellectual Property)
  • Preference will be giving to those with experience in a law firm or equivalent environment handling IP-related matters
  • Keen interest in marketing and communication, with an eye for clarity, impact, and audience engagement
  • Proactive, structured, and well-organized team player with strong collaboration skills.

Eligibility
Applicants must have the legal right to work in Germany (e.g., EU/EEA/Swiss citizenship or an existing German work permit). Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
