We're looking for an experienced IP Specialist to join the Anaqua Law team. In this role, you'll become an expert in our AQX law engine, playing a critical part in keeping this platform's legal data accurate and up to date for customers worldwide. - Learn and master all aspects of Anaqua's law engine, which powers IP deadline calculations, workflows, and legal rules used by customers worldwide
- Conduct legal research to support quarterly law updates, capturing rule changes across all IP types and jurisdictions globally
- Provide backup coverage across all stages of the quarterly law update process
- Assist with a variety of law-related projects, including research, analysis, and ad hoc tasks as needed
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s Degree & 2-3 years of recent, hands-on IP paralegal or docketing experience spanning the full IP lifecycle — from filing through to maintenance and abandonment — across Patents, Industrial Designs, and Trademarks in multiple jurisdictions worldwide
- Strong analytical skills and the confidence to set priorities, exercise sound independent judgement, and take ownership of your work
- The ability to interpret, analyze, and clearly communicate complex IP laws and regulations to a variety of audiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- A highly organized, self-motivated working style with a track record of consistently meeting deadlines
- Bonus points for: Direct experience using Anaqua’s AQX software
Skills Required
