We are looking for talented iOS Software Engineers to build and evolve our mobile applications that power BJAK’s insurance and financial products. You will also contribute to features that leverage automation and AI-assisted capabilities where they improve user experience and operational efficiency. This is more than building screens - you'll help deliver mobile experiences that power real-world insurance workflows at scale.
This is a hybrid role based in Malaysia. You will be part of a global engineering organization working across multiple countries to build reliable, scalable mobile systems.
Build and ship iOS features using Swift.
Create clean mobile flows for insurance, payments, claims, renewals and financial services.
Work with product and design to simplify complex user journeys.
Integrate backend APIs and ensure mobile flows are stable and reliable.
Improve performance, crash rate, loading states, responsiveness, memory usage and battery efficiency.
Use analytics, user behaviour and production issues to improve the product.
Build AI-assisted mobile experiences only where they genuinely improve the user journey.
3+ years of iOS development experience using Swift.
Strong iOS fundamentals and experience shipping production apps.
Good knowledge of SwiftUI, UIKit, async/await and iOS architecture patterns.
Strong sense of mobile UX, usability, edge cases and user flows.
Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging production issues.
Fast execution, high ownership and strong attention to product quality.

Skills Required
- 3+ years of iOS development experience using Swift
- Strong understanding of iOS architecture patterns (MVVM, MVC, or modern equivalents)
- Proven experience shipping production iOS applications
- Strong knowledge of Swift concurrency (async/await), concurrency, and background task handling
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with distributed systems
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills (memory, CPU, battery)
- Experience building responsive UI using SwiftUI (UIKit experience is a plus)
- Implement analytics, crash reporting, and user behavior tracking
- Experience with Swift Package Manager (SPM)
- Experience with Firebase / analytics tools
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience integrating AI-powered features or exposure to CoreML / on-device ML frameworks
- Experience with feature flags or remote configuration systems
- Experience with iOS CI/CD (Fastlane, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Published apps on the Apple App Store
- Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, and product-quality focus
