KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Build & Develop a Game Development Talent Network
- Build and maintain relationships with game directors, lead designers, lead developers, producers, UA leads, studio heads, and other key talent across outsourcing, co-development, publishing, and indie studios.
- Maintain relevant information on individuals, including their actual contribution to products, product performance, professional background, and career motivations.
- Proactively engage industry professionals through direct meetings and domestic/regional industry events, maintaining long-term relationships regardless of immediate opportunities.
- Recommend appropriate collaboration models, including studio co-founding, studio investment, or joining an in-house studio.
- Identify and approach game studios across casual, hybrid-casual, mid-core, and other relevant game categories, prioritizing opportunities aligned with the Company’s publishing capabilities and prospective partners’ strengths.
- Screen opportunities based on team capabilities, founders’ track records, and product-building potential.
- Support due diligence through founder reference checks, IP and legal verification, and validation of product performance data with internal publishing and UA teams.
- Monitor fundraising activities, talent movements, new studios, and emerging products to identify opportunities early.
- The role owns sourcing, relationship management, and deal preparation. Term negotiation and investment decisions will be handled jointly with senior Corporate Development leadership.
- Build relationships with potential co-investors, including regional investment funds, industry founders, individual investors, and publishers across South Korea, China, and Southeast Asia.
- Prepare opportunity materials and maintain regular deal-flow updates with trusted investment partners.
- Collect external investor feedback as an additional validation channel for internal investment assessments.
- Establish and regularly update a comprehensive map of key talent within Vietnam’s game development industry.
- Build a strong direct network capable of reaching most high-performing game development teams in the domestic market.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of studios and potential founding teams, with selected opportunities progressing to due diligence and signing.
- Develop a reliable group of co-investment partners ready to participate alongside the Company.
RequirementsRequired
- Minimum 5 years of experience in game development, publishing, business development, or studio operations; alternatively, experience in finance, investment, or business development with regular direct exposure to the game industry.
- Established network within Vietnam’s game development ecosystem, with strong understanding of key individuals, teams, roles, and capabilities.
- Proven ability to originate opportunities independently without relying on assigned leads or an existing pipeline.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce concise, data-supported materials and recommendations.
- Working-level English for collaboration with regional partners.
- Willingness to travel and regularly attend industry events.
- Experience working with an outsourcing studio, co-development studio, or major game publisher.
- Experience establishing or building a game studio is an advantage.
- Exposure to game industry investment or M&A transactions.
- Strong understanding of casual and hybrid-casual games.
