The Opportunity
As an Investment FP&A Analytics Lead, you will play a critical role at the center of the company's financial planning and decision-making engine. As part of the broader FP&A function, you will help drive the core annual planning and forecasting process for MassMutual's investment portfolio-translating strategy into financial projections, explaining actual results against plan, and informing management actions.
Investment FP&A serves as a key facilitator of the enterprise feedback loop: connecting strategy, forecast, actual performance, and decision-making. In this role, you will own the investment insight within that loop-ensuring investment performance and outlook are clearly understood and appropriately reflected in planning, forecasting, and strategic discussions.
You will operate at the intersection of FP&A, Finance, Investment Management, and the Business , owning the point of view and enterprise-level recommendations - not acting as a pass-through of analysis. Beyond core planning, you will synthesize insights across investments, ALM and product P&L to identify opportunities, frame trade-offs and present decision-ready guidance to inform decisions.
You will have a high degree of ownership and visibility, with opportunities to influence strategy and grow into a broader advisory role for ELT and the senior business partners. As the team evolves, you will play a key role in building Investment FP&A into a trusted enterprise partner, while continuously deepening your leadership capability, judgment and business acumen.
The Team
You will be part of a growing Investment FP&A team focused on transforming how investment performance and strategy are understood across the enterprise. The team brings together expertise in financial planning, investment analysis, and insurance economics to deliver forward-looking insights rather than retrospective reporting.
The team plays a central role in the FP&A planning cycle, owning the investment forecast and serving as a key link between strategy, financial outcomes, and management actions.
We are a collaborative and intellectually curious group that values strong judgment, thoughtful challenge, and clear communication. The team partners closely with Investment Management, Corporate Finance, Treasury, and Business leaders to connect financial outcomes with strategic decisions.
As the team evolves, we are building a culture grounded in ownership, continuous learning, and a shared commitment to raising the bar on insight quality and business impact.
The Impact
- Lead the integration of investment insight into the FP&A planning framework shaping forward looking forecasts that translate enterprise strategy into actionable financial plans and ensuring investment perspectives are embedded in key planning decisions
