As an Investment Associate, you'll evaluate investment opportunities, support deal execution, conduct financial analyses, and improve processes while engaging with partners and building networks.

Your Professional Development:
From our New Orleans office you will work with SFA’s Partners and directly support our Searchers while gaining significant exposure to entrepreneurship and private equity, specifically search fund investing, across myriad industries and business models. Through hands-on experience and under the direction of the Partners, you will develop analytical, operational, and management skills, within a growth-oriented company setting. You will also build a career-long strategic network of relationships and friendships.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Evaluate Opportunities: Assist in developing investment theses
- Deal Execution: Support of Searchers and Partners
- Work with Searchers: Perform valuation analyses on target companies, negotiate LOIs, scope and coordinate due diligence, develop and maintain financial models, perform sensitivity analyses, prepare bank presentations, and draft investment memoranda
- Process/Workflow: Apply SOP’s to optimize impact & maximize success
- Tech Stack: Administer our tools for continuous improvement & development
- Brand Ambassador: Champion SFA’s culture across recruiting activities, on-campus events, conferences, and our annual CEO retreat.
