The Institutional Solutions Group, a team within the Investment Management group, seeks an Investment Analyst to join its team of investment professionals. This role focuses on institutional relationships and requires a person who demonstrates a strong grasp of capital markets fundamentals, excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for investing. In addition, the role requires client interaction and therefore superior communication skills. An ability to deliver top tier client service utilizing strong written & verbal skills is critical to success. You will work closely with the investment team to perform a variety of investment functions to help the team evaluate and implement investment opportunities with the objective of delivering superior outcomes for investors.
The Investment Analyst will join a team of Portfolio Managers, reporting to the Senior Portfolio Manager, within the Institutional Solutions Group.
This role will be based in our Chicago office. We are operating in a hybrid environment, in-office 4 days/week.
Responsibilities:
The Investment Analyst will serve in a broad-based capacity across several critical areas of investment management, including:
- Supporting asset class research (equities, fixed income, currencies)
- Capital markets research
- Investment manager research
- Research related to risk and portfolio analytics & construction
- Preparation and delivery of client facing materials to meet specific deadlines
The Investment Analyst - Institutional Solutions role will include the preparation and maintenance of portfolio construction sheets, client communication and marketing materials, portfolio implementation and trade support, investment manager profiles, and other projects that support client deliverables.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or economics
- One to four years of relevant investment experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- A self-starter, able to work on projects independently
Nice to have: An MBA and/or Chartered Financial Analyst® designation or progress towards them is preferred.
