Canaccord Genuity Corp., our Canadian operation, is seeking an Investment Advisor Assistant to join Team LWC in our Oakville office. This role supports a dynamic client base within a high-touch, growth-oriented, and fast-paced team environment. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, self-motivated, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

  • Working directly with a team where the focus is on client relationships and building a sustainable wealth management business.
  • Processing and confirming client transactions, managing client files, scheduling appointments, and coordinating client meetings.
  • Deal directly with clients, provide quotes and execute trading orders.
  • Maintain account lists and compile statistical information and reports.
  • Process and follow-up on client documentation for new accounts and maintenance of existing accounts.
  • Servicing existing & new clients, providing timely support, and maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Preparation of business correspondence, presentations, meeting materials, completing monthly and quarterly reports across multiple platforms in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with clients, back office and outside intermediaries to resolve client inquiries.
  • Successfully manage and prioritize an always evolving complex workload.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, including those related to client privacy and confidentiality.
  • Be accessible and prompt throughout the day.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Completion of CSC and CPH, along with CIRO licensing, is required; candidates currently in progress of becoming IR licensed will also be considered.
  • 2+ years of related experience, with a well-rounded knowledge of the securities industry.
  • Good working knowledge of Dataphile is an asset.
  • Intermediate computer skills including advanced proficiency of MS Office programs.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills.
  • Exceptional prioritization skills with an ability to take initiative and remain calm under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently meet deadlines, and multi-task.
  • Exemplary attention to detail and accuracy, both in written and verbal correspondence with clients, internal and external sources.
  • Ability to work independently, and effectively with employees and clients at all levels.
