The Role
We're looking
for an Investment Administrator who enjoys working with financial data,
solving reconciliation challenges, and producing accurate fund accounting
outputs.
You'll support
the preparation of fund valuations, financial statements, tax calculations,
investment reports, and audit workpapers for review by the New Zealand team.
What You'll
Do
- Process and maintain investment transactions across
a range of asset classes, including equities, bonds, options, and unlisted
investments
- Reconcile fund holdings against broker, custodian,
and internal records
- Support fund valuations and Net Asset Value (NAV)
calculations
- Calculate income accruals, expenses, and management
fees
- Prepare PIE tax calculations and draft tax
reporting documentation
- Maintain securities and investment data within fund
administration systems
- Prepare audit workpapers, supporting schedules, and
compliance documentation
- Assist in producing client, investment manager, and
compliance reports
- Investigate discrepancies and escalate issues to
the New Zealand team
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and
operational efficiencies
Requirements
What We're
Looking For
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or
a related discipline
- Approximately 3–5 years of experience in:
- Fund Accounting
- Investment Administration
- Fund Operations
- NAV Calculation
- Unit Pricing
- Investment Operations
- Custody Operations
- Managed Fund Administration
- Strong understanding of fund accounting principles
and investment operations
- Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with
financial systems
- Strong written communication and documentation
skills
- Self-directed, organised, and highly
detail-oriented
- Comfortable identifying issues, investigating
discrepancies, and escalating concerns appropriately
- High levels of integrity, accountability, and
professional judgement
Nice to Have
- Experience with managed funds, unit pricing, or
fund administration platforms
- Exposure to New Zealand investment funds or PIE tax
structures
- CPA, CA, CFA, or equivalent qualifications
(completed or in progress)
- Experience supporting audits, compliance reporting,
or financial reporting activities
