Sonic Healthcare USA is seeking a highly skilled Intune Engineer to join our Information Technology team. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of Microsoft Intune and the broader Microsoft Endpoint Management ecosystem. The Intune Engineer will ensure the secure, compliant, and efficient management of Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices while delivering an exceptional end-user experience.
The ideal candidate is passionate about endpoint management, automation, security, and modern workplace technologies. This individual will partner closely with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Identity & Access Management, Service Desk, and Digital Workplace teams to support key initiatives including Zero Trust, Microsoft 365 optimization, endpoint lifecycle management, and device modernization..
Key Responsibilities
Endpoint Management & Engineering
Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Intune policies, device configurations, compliance policies, and endpoint security settings.
Administer and optimize Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM), Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft Defender integrations.
Develop and maintain device enrollment, provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management processes.
Create, test, and deploy application packages across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android platforms.
Implement and support Windows Autopilot deployments for zero-touch provisioning.
Monitor and manage device compliance, remediation, and policy enforcement activities.
Evaluate and implement endpoint management best practices to improve security, user experience, and operational efficiency.
Security & Compliance
Partner with Cybersecurity teams to implement endpoint security controls and Zero Trust strategies.
Configure and support Conditional Access policies integrated with Intune and Entra ID.
Support compliance initiatives related to HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC, and other regulatory requirements.
Monitor and remediate endpoint vulnerabilities, configuration drift, and security risks.
Collaborate with Security Operations teams to strengthen endpoint detection, response, and threat mitigation capabilities.
Automation & Innovation
Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and Power Automate.
Build proactive monitoring and remediation scripts to improve endpoint health and supportability.
Streamline onboarding, offboarding, device refresh, and lifecycle management processes.
Evaluate emerging Microsoft Endpoint Management technologies and recommend adoption opportunities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce manual effort and improve service delivery.
Operations & Support
Serve as an escalation point for complex endpoint management and device-related issues.
Support operating system deployments, software distribution, patch management, and endpoint updates.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, procedures, and knowledge articles.
Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.
Partner with Service Desk teams to improve support processes and reduce recurring issues.
Reporting & Analytics
Develop dashboards and reporting for endpoint compliance, patching, endpoint health, and user experience metrics.
Track and report key operational performance indicators and service-level objectives.
Provide recommendations to improve endpoint security, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
3-7+ years of experience supporting enterprise endpoint management environments.
3+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Intune.

Experience packaging and deploying enterprise applications.
Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience.

Strong understanding of endpoint security, compliance, device management, and identity management concepts.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
