Description of assignmentVanderlande is in the project-business with a limited extent of re-use of solutions. This, amongst others, makes forecasting required materials difficult. Orders are created late in the process. Having an item forecast would allow to make better and more cost-effective decisions in the supply chain and increase service levels towards projects. Additionally, it could benefit suppliers. Therefore, Supply Chain would like to have more insights in future predictions, so they can be used for daily decision making. The scope of this assignment is end-to-end: we are interested in what stakeholders require, what we already have, and evenly in the quantitative estimations of required materials.
