Job Description
Rockwell's Advanced Technology (AT) research team is looking for a research engineer for the internship program. This paid internship typically lasts 6 months, is typically combined with the study at a university, and is an opportunity to deep dive into the research environment in Rockwell. You will have the opportunity to participate in a research or research related project in the field related to industrial automation, such as software development, control engineering, functional/dynamic safety, system security, AI/ML, including preparing and evaluating research prototypes and writing a report. Each intern has a dedicated mentor to help navigate across Rockwell Automation and has agreed scope of the project that is discussed and presented at the end of the project. You will report to Research Team Manager.
Your responsibilities
- Work on a dedicated project in the Advanced Technology research group in Prague
- Deliver defined milestones as a part of the research effort
- Learn through practical experience and collaboration with the team
The Essentials - You Will Have
- Software development skills (the programming language depends on the chosen area, the research prototypes are not bound by a particular language)
- English language proficiency, at least for reading and writing reports/documentation.
- Active student status. We welcome bright minds from different levels but prefer students during their master's last years or during a PhD program. Research oriented mind is more important.
- Legal work and stay permits in the Czech Republic.
