Internship Project Management - Integrated Solutions

What you will do

We are excited to offer an internship opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to support our Project Management team in delivering Installation Projects within our Integrated Solutions portfolio. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience by assisting with various aspects of project management, including tracking schedules, supporting resource coordination, and helping to ensure the quality of deliverables. You will have the chance to learn about maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external clients, understanding contract changes, and assisting with project updates for stakeholders. This internship will provide valuable insight into how successful projects are driven.

You will improve in understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS), including integration with HVAC, lighting, access control, and security systems and get more familiar with communication protocols used in BMS, such as BACnet, Modbus, KNX.

How you will do it

• Project Support: Assist Project Managers in the successful delivery of projects, helping to ensure tasks are completed on time and within scope. You'll learn how to monitor projects against their baseline.
• Project Planning & Coordination Assistance: Help define and manage project plans by supporting the alignment with customer needs and internal resource availability. You'll gain experience in collaborating with customer project teams to coordinate milestones and assist in resolving scheduling conflicts.
• Budget Management & Cost Control Support: Learn about overseeing budgets and identifying opportunities to enhance profitability. You will be introduced to tools and processes used to optimize costs and project efficiency by supporting the team.
• Decision-Making Exposure: Observe and support Project Managers in making informed decisions to keep projects on track and resolve issues promptly.
• Understanding Customer Requirements: Develop an understanding of customer needs by assisting the team in providing recommendations and briefings to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
• Customer Relationship Management Support: Learn how to build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships by supporting Project Managers as a secondary point of contact when appropriate.
• Adherence to Processes: Familiarize yourself with and follow company protocols, procedures, and best practices, contributing to consistency and quality in project activities.
• Team Collaboration: Foster a positive and productive project and work environment by actively participating in team tasks, building strong relationships with colleagues, and contributing to a collaborative atmosphere.
• Cross-Team Collaboration Learning: Understand how to work effectively with other departments and teams by assisting in sharing information and collaborating to drive project success.

What we look for

• Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Previous internship experience is a plus but not required. A strong desire to learn about Project Management is key.
• Project Lifecycle Interest: Eagerness to learn about managing the full project lifecycle, from system design and specification through to installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Technical Documentation Familiarity: Basic ability or willingness to learn to read and interpret technical drawings (e.g., P&IDs), system schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Software Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Willingness to learn other IT tools and applications.
• Process and Procedures: Ability to follow established processes and a proactive attitude towards learning and suggesting improvements.
• Problem Solving: Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with an enthusiasm for resolving challenges.
• Language Skills: Fluent in Italian and proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing work environments and schedules, demonstrating flexibility in approach.
• Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally within Italy as needed for project support and learning opportunities.
