Flowserve is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Engineering Center in Budapest. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on real engineering projects alongside experienced Product and Project Engineers, supporting the design, documentation, and development of Flowserve products and solutions.
Responsibilities- Support the day-to-day work of Product and Project Engineers.
- Assist with component design and 3D modeling using SolidWorks.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and design-related materials in SolidWorks and, where applicable, DraftSight.
- Support engineering data-preparation activities, including pump curve optimization projects.
- Review and organize engineering data, such as Excel-based test reports.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support project execution and technical deliverables.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities within the Engineering Center.
- Active student status in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Design engineering specialization and knowledge of rotating machinery are advantages.
- Basic understanding of pump characteristics, such as test curves, head, and flow, is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of at least one CAD software; SolidWorks experience is preferred.
- Solid understanding of 3D modeling and technical drawings is an advantage.
- Familiarity with DraftSight, Excel test reports, Visual Studio, or C# is an advantage.
- Good MS Office skills.
- Communication-level English language skills.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work at least 20 hours per week.
