PURPOSE
Lead the formulation and execution of maintenance strategy for Mechanical Rotating equipment within the approved resources, in compliance with safety, quality and statutory requirements and through the team, to achieve targeted plant availability and reliability, and to maximize production.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Strategy & Planning
- Steward and lead the formulation of mechanical rotating short- and long-term reliability and maintenance strategies and plans for respective rotating equipment as to achieve and sustain targeted availability and reliability.
- Drive and lead the implementation of Mechanical Rotating Maintenance Program (including Proactive Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance) within the available resources and approved budget in compliance with statutory regulations and OPU business objectives.
- Manage and control the planning, utilization and optimization of the reliability and maintenance Work Program and Budget for Mechanical Rotating Section.
2. Improvement Initiatives
- Lead and manage the implementation of rotating maintenance engineering improvement initiatives for respective fields.
- Assess and establish the development and implementation of rotating equipment maintenance outsourcing strategy in compliance to specific OEM Standard, PETRONAS Technical Standard (PTS), PETRONAS Maintenance and Management Guideline, PETRONAS Group Tender and Contract guidelines.
3. Turnaround Management
- Strategize the implementation of Turnaround rotating planned shutdown as per regional business requirement.
- Steward and manage the recovery of any unplanned maintenance of Rotating Machinery equipment or emergent problem within the specified Downtime Alert response time to minimize impact on the business target.
4. Advisory Role
- Provide expert advice, guidance and technical support on Rotating Machinery equipment maintenance and activities related to Rotating Machinery technology.
- Adopt and innovate the latest technology & drive best practices to continuously improve rotating maintenance implementation and effectiveness.
