Key responsibilities
The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid
You will be mainly accountable for:
- You contribute to ongoing research activities on the global solution of a specific parametric nonlinear optimization problem.
- You implement solution methods for the problem of interest in object-oriented code while keeping an eye on computational performance.
- You use state-of-the art solvers to create benchmarks.
- You drive an independent work task.
Qualifications for the role
- You are currently enrolled in a master’s program in Mathematics.
- You have a background in non-linear optimization and are familiar with corresponding solution algorithms.
- You have programming experience in an object-oriented language (e.g. Python, C/C++).
- You have a good command of written and spoken English.
- You enjoy engaging with advanced mathematical problems and deriving solutions.
- You show readiness to tackle difficult problems, above-average motivation to implement and test developed models and algorithms and proactiveness to come up with new ideas on how to overcome possible challenges.
