The company has three manufacturing sites and research and development offices in Penang, producing automotive electronics, power tools and steering systems, and now a fourth plant with a final testing centre for sensors and semiconductors.

PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production commenced in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

As an intern, you will be responsible but not limited to the following:

• Build and Maintain Power BI Dashboards: Create visually appealing and insightful dashboards to support business operations
• Clean and Transform Data Using Power Query: Prepare and structure data before loading it into Power BI for analysis
• Optimize Power BI Reports: Improve efficiency and reduce refresh times of Power BI reports
• Perform Data Validation Checks: Ensure report accuracy by cross-checking Power BI data with SQL query results
• Write SQL Queries to Extract Data: Retrieve relevant data from databases for reporting purposes
• Optimize SQL Queries: Enhance performance through indexing and structured query optimization
• Create Stored Procedures and Views: Automate and streamline data retrieval processes for Power BI reports
• Design and Create Efficient Data Models: Develop scalable and high-performance database models for effective reporting
• Create and Maintain Data Pipelines: Build ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure efficient data flow
• Document Data Architecture and Workflows: Maintain detailed documentation of data processes to support scalability and maintainability

• Candidate must be a full time student pursuing Bachelor in Computer Science/IT or related field
• Motivated, strong in communication, cooperative in working with colleagues and external parties and assertive personality
• Independent, result- and quality-oriented
• High accountability and reliability
• Strong analytical skill and problem solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft office application and SQL
• Basic knowledge of Power BI and database management is an added value
• Good proficiency in English & Malay language
• High flexibility and able to work under pressure
• Preferable 6 months of internship and can start from May 25 onwards
