Internship – graduation assignment - ING Investment Office
At ING, we believe it’s your ideas, not your age that matter most. As part of our team, you’ll work in a dynamic, international environment where you learn at a fast pace and be hands-on from the start.
Our ambition is to help build a financially healthy and sustainable society for the Netherlands. Investing can play a role in the financial health of clients. We find it important to offer accessible investment solutions to our clients. In the portfolios of the Investment Office, sustainability plays an important role. Many of our clients are interested in sustainable investing, and we offer this through various sustainable strategies. At the ING Investment Office, we integrate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria into our investment processes to ensure that our investments positively contribute a better world and mitigate the adverse impact as much as possible. To optimize investment decisions for our clients we want to investigate what the impact of ESG rollbacks by corporations is on stock performance. Additionally, you will explore the behavioral finance aspects behind these reactions, investigating how investor psychology and behavior influence market responses to changes in ESG strategies. You will investigate whether these reactions can be explained by traditional financial factors, or if they are driven by other elements, such as changes in sustainability perceptions or pure market Alpha. Your findings will help optimize investment decisions and contribute to our understanding of the financial and psychological implications of ESG strategies.
