Description of assignmentIn today’s fast-paced logistics world, this internship offers the chance to contribute to four innovative projects supporting Vanderlande’s operations in Amazon fulfillment centers. You’ll help evolve Vandabot, a chatbot that assists engineers with quick access to maintenance info, and support the development of TAISA, an AI-powered MS Teams assistant to boost first-line service. You'll also work on a smart energy-saving system in our Shark Tank lab and help design a global dashboard for real-time monitoring of SPO systems. These projects offer hands-on experience, real-world impact, and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic service environment.
Department descriptionYou will be joining the AMZ DSD (Amazon Dedicated Service Department) team within Vanderlande’s Service business unit. The team operates at the intersection of high-performance logistics, customer support, and technical innovation, closely collaborating with global AMZ FCs and various internal departments. The working environment is dynamic and multidisciplinary, where collaboration, creativity, and initiative are highly valued. Interns are treated as full team members, actively contributing to impactful projects and strategic discussions.
Tasks/responsibilities- Develop and test the TAISA AI assistant within Microsoft Teams
- Contribute to the development and evolution of Vandabot
- Work on energy measurement, data analysis, and automation scripts for the sustainability initiative
- Design dashboards using real-time data feeds for SPO system performance
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback
- Document all findings, methodologies, and outcomes in a professional report
- Proactive attitude and problem-solving mindset
- Experience or interest in AI, scripting (e.g., Python), and dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI, Grafana)
- Basic knowledge of networking or industrial systems is a plus
- Passion for sustainability and innovation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team
- *Mandatory enrolment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands.
