Job Description

As an Accounting Intern supporting Accounts Payable (AP) and/or Accounts Receivable (AR), you will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. This position offers hands-on experience in core accounting processes, exposure to ERP systems, and collaboration with experienced professionals. You will contribute to maintaining smooth workflows, supporting month-end activities, and assisting the AP and AR teams in achieving operational excellence.

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Receive, verify, and process supplier invoices.
  • Ensure timely and accurate posting of invoices.
  • Maintain vendor records and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support month-end closing activities for AP.
  • Provide assistance to the AP team in daily operations, including handling queries and preparing reports.

Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Prepare and issue customer invoices, follow up on invoice transmission, and send invoices to customers.
  • Record incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts.
  • Monitor outstanding balances and assist with collections.
  • Support month-end closing activities for AR.
  • Provide assistance to the AR team in managing customer accounts and resolving payment issues

Qualifications

  • Ongoing university studies in economics/finance;
  • IT skills MS Office, SAP FI is a plus;
  • English - Intermediate;
  • Italian - Advanced,
  • Analytical and logical thinking;
  • Initiative / pro-activeness;
  • Self-motivation, positive attitude;
  • Willingness to work in an international environment;
  • Team player attitude.
