We have an exciting opportunity for a/an Logistics Coordinator (Inbound) in our Venlo office.
Job Summary
The International Transportation Coordinator is responsible for managing and monitoring the movement of goods arriving to and leaving the company’s facilities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant arrival to the DC and delivery to customers, distribution centers, and partners. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with carriers, warehouses, and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
Shipment Planning & Coordination
Schedule and coordinate international shipments in alignment with internal and external requirements and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Work with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to arrange transportation.
Consolidate loads to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Documentation & Compliance
Prepare and review bills of lading, shipping documents, and export paperwork.
Ensure compliance with international transportation regulations.
Maintain accurate shipping records in the company’s systems (ERP, TMS, WMS).
Tracking & Reporting
Monitor shipments and proactively address delays, exceptions, or disruptions.
Provide regular updates to external and internal teams on delivery status.
Track carrier performance, costs, and service quality for continuous improvement.
Collaboration & Communication
Serve as the primary contact between carriers, distribution centers, and internal teams.
Resolve shipping discrepancies, claims, and damage reports.
Support brands with international logistics requirements.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve shipping efficiency.
Contribute to projects aimed at optimizing routes, carriers, and freight spending.
Implement best practices in transportation management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
2–4 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or distribution operations
Knowledge of transportation modes (Container, Ocean / Air, parcel, intermodal, international)
Familiarity with ERP/TMS/WMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Understanding of international trade compliance (as applicable)
