Purpose of Position:

This role is responsible for the development, management, and implementation of compliance processes and procedures as it relates to the export of customer shipments from the US to countries globally. This position will act as the Subject Matter Expert as it relates to export procedures including customs, commodities, invoices, and security procedures supporting all departments when needs arise and as part of a continual improvement program. 


Essential Job Functions:

Develop and maintain customs compliance processes for all export shipments. 

Join Sales on customer calls as requested to assist with any export related questions. 

Respond to inquiries from all internal company departments around customs and compliance. 

Coordinate all required customs and security compliance documentation required from shippers. 

Stay up-to-date on all changes in regulations as it relates to exports, security rules, and commodities. 

File any required regulatory paperwork internally and externally. 

Coordinate with colleagues globally where needed to ensure shipments are expedited without delay in all cases. 

 

Work Environment:

The position will be a hybrid role working from the office a minimum of 3 days per week. Possibility of need to travel to accommodate customer visits, off-site meetings, or other operational needs that may be outside the office. 

Characteristics are relatively stable. Maybe exposed to fumes, airborne particles, extreme heat and vibrations. The noise level is usually loud and the exposure risk to hazardous environmental conditions are moderate. Listed below are applicable special environmental conditions.

Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time is required.

Lifting Requirements:

0 - 25 lbs.- Regularly (65 100%)

26 - 50 lbs.- Regularly (65 100%)

51+ lbs. - Regularly (65 100%)

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in export coordination, logistics, or international trade.

Strong understanding of export regulations, customs procedures, and international shipping documentation.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and export management software/tools.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
