The Role

We are seeking an Internal Systems & AI Lead to help Geordie become one of the most effective AI-native companies in the world.

You will own the systems, tooling, automation, and internal technology that power the day-to-day operation of the business. Your goal is to ensure every employee has the tools, workflows, and support they need to operate at maximum effectiveness, while continuously identifying opportunities for AI and automation to expand the capacity of the organisation.

Initially, you will be a hands-on individual contributor responsible for both internal IT operations and AI enablement. You will own everything from laptop provisioning and software administration through to onboarding workflows, internal agents, and company-wide automation initiatives.

This is not a traditional IT role. We are not looking for someone who simply maintains systems. We are looking for someone who constantly asks:

“How should this work if AI agents were a first-class part of the company?”

You will help design and build the operating model of a modern AI-native company, ensuring Geordie becomes a showcase for how organisations can effectively combine people, software, and AI agents.

What You’ll Do

Internal Systems & IT

• Own Geordie’s internal technology stack and day-to-day IT operations..

• Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, device provisioning, access management, and asset tracking..

• Administer systems including Google Workspace, Kandji, SaaS platforms, identity systems, and collaboration tooling..

• Maintain a high-quality employee experience by ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and easy to use..

AI & Automation

• Identify opportunities across the business where AI agents and automation can increase leverage, reduce manual work, and improve operational effectiveness..

• Design, build, and operate internal agents, automations, and workflows across functions including GTM, Operations, Finance and all other G&A functions..

• Rapidly evaluate new AI tooling, models, frameworks, and orchestration approaches as the ecosystem evolves..

• Establish best practices for safe and effective AI adoption across the company..

Operational Excellence

• Continuously improve internal processes, systems, and workflows as the company scales..

• Work closely with the team across every area to understand pain points, identify bottlenecks, and implement practical solutions..

• Help ensure Geordie scales operational capacity faster than headcount growth..

Internal Enablement

• Enable every employee to effectively leverage AI in their day-to-day work..

• Build reusable workflows, templates, agents, and internal tooling that increase productivity across the organisation..

• Act as a trusted advisor to teams adopting new AI-driven ways of working..

Ideal Background

• Experience operating internal systems, business technology, IT, operations, or automation functions within a high-growth company..

• Hands-on experience building AI-powered workflows, agents, or operational automations..

• Comfortable writing code and integrating systems through APIs when required..

• Experience with platforms such as Claude Code, OpenAI tooling, n8n, Zapier, LangGraph, MCPs, Skills, or equivalent ecosystems..

• Strong systems thinker who enjoys solving operational problems and creating leverage..

• Highly proactive and comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving environment..
