Business Manager - Operations__
The Internal Communications Specialist will play a key role in developing and executing the communications strategy for Smart Power’s Hub Asia, as well as leading internal communications for the Low Voltage Systems (LVS) business in China. Working in close partnership with Hub leadership, LVS China leadership, and the Global Employee & Culture Communications team, this role supports key business priorities and strengthens engagement—particularly among front-line employees across our manufacturing sites.
We are seeking a hands-on, proactive communicator with strong strategic thinking, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience engaging front-line manufacturing employees is a strong advantage.
This role is contributing to the EL Smart power business in Xiamen China
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Develop and execute the Hub Asia and LVS China communications strategy and annual plan using an audience-first approach, aligned with business objectives and global employee & culture communications priorities.
- Create high-quality internal and executive communications, including articles, presentations, talking points, announcements, employee stories, and video scripts, prioritizing impact over volume.
- Optimize and innovate communication channels to engage front-line employees, leveraging existing platforms and exploring new tools and formats.
- Design and deliver content and strategic communication plans for internal programs and standout campaigns.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing units, HR, Operations, local communications teams, and other internal stakeholders to deliver communication initiatives from concept to implementation—ensuring front-line voices are integrated.
- Strengthen on-the-ground communication across factories by maintaining consistent messaging, ensuring brand-aligned visuals, and highlighting operational excellence through strategic storytelling.
- Support customer visits and high-profile events by preparing compelling narratives and communication assets that showcase site capabilities.
- Travel frequently across Hub Asia locations to build relationships, understand local needs, and ensure aligned execution
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field, or 5–7 years of relevant experience in employee/internal communications.
- Experience engaging front-line or manufacturing employees is an advantage.
- Fluent in English, with excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills in both Chinese and English.
- Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration and being an effective team player.
- Experience coaching leaders on executive communications is a plus.
- Experience in change management and/or HR communications is an advantage.
