The Internal Audit Intern will support Merit Medical’s global Internal Audit team by assisting with audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting. This role provides valuable exposure to internal controls, financial and operational audits, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and risk management practices — all within the environment of a global medical device manufacturer.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED
• Performs tests of internal controls.
• Maintains risk and control database documentation.
• Documents process and transaction flows.
• Uses analytics to identify anomalies and potential risks.
• Performs a variety of related tasks, as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accountancy, Business or Information Systems or related field.
• Ability to communicate effectively and to work well with others at all levels of the company.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
• Good writing skills.
• Demonstrated computer skills, preferably with spreadsheets, word processing, database, artificial intelligence and other applicable software programs.
