Job Summary
The position is based in Singapore, contributing to audit assignments in the APAC region on operations relating to Life & Health (L&H), Property & Casualty (P&C) and Investment business units as well as all other functions to provide independent assessments (e.g. Governance, Control Environment, Adequacy and Operating effectiveness of Key Controls). The incumbent will also participate in the quarterly follow up of actions plans, designed by management as a response to the audit recommendations, and could contribute in department’s initiatives, esp. relating to AI.
ResponsibilitiesKey duties and responsibilities
Assist the Internal audit team in performing the audit activities in line with the defined methodology including:
APAC audit assignments: preliminary risk assessment, documents review, production of surveys and summary memos, transaction testing and result analysis, working papers documentation.
Global Follow up: contribute to the recommended corrective actions quarterly follow up analysis.
Department’s initiatives: contribute to these initiatives when needed.
This requires to:
Develop and maintain good relationships with stakeholders aligned within the role of GIA, and team members through individual contacts and group meetings,
Develop the ability to work independently under general supervision with some latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
Required experience & competencies
You are curious, rigorous and possess strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights.
Operating in an international environment, you have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with data analytics, visualization or audit-related tools would be an advantage.
You demonstrate an interest in generative AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot) and a willingness to learn how to use them effectively, including developing prompts and agents, critically assessing AI-generated outputs, and applying them appropriately to audit activities such as analysis, documentation and presentations, while adhering to ethical, governance and information security standards.
You demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism and sound judgment, and enjoy working collaboratively in a diverse, multicultural and international (re)insurance environment across life, health and/or property & casualty lines.
Required Education & Duration
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree programme in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, Insurance, or a related field. You are available for a full-time internship for a minimum period of 3 months.

Skills Required
