Our Client

Hooker & Heijden is representing an ambitious brokerage with sound leadership and strong expertise in Insurance and risk management in their search to secure an experience Assistant Account Manager. With strengths in the SME & Mid-Market, this brokerage has experienced steady growth over the past few years, The successful applicant will join a business with an ambitious and collaborative culture.

The Role

You will work closely with a Senior broker and the wider business, to play your part in the delivery of best-in-class insurance outcomes and insurance risk transfer solutions to mid-market clients from a wide range of industry segments including Construction, Manufacturing, Property Owners and more. As the successful applicant you will:

  • Support all aspects of a portfolio of circa 50 Mid-Market clients.

  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver the best possible outcome for clients with a focus on client retention, revenue generation through New Business and the delivery of the full range of our client’s capabilities.

  • Provide high level of support to all team members and ensure that all requests are met in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Ensure provision of excellent service to clients and the highest quality input to insurers including quoting renewals, processing of endorsements/amendments, preparing correspondence between our clients and underwriters, updating reports, premium calculations and allocations where required at the client’s direction.

Skills and Experience that will lead to success

  • Strong technical understanding of a broad range of General Lines general insurance lines and ideally a fondness for an area where we

  • Highly self-motivated to take ownership and accountability

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Team Player who works well with others, in support of a national focus on the General lines of business

  • Post Graduate/Diploma or Degree in Bus/Finance/Commerce plus qualifications in accordance with the Financial Services Reform Act (minimum Tier 1 Broking Compliance) would be expected
