Translation & QA Intern - Medical Devices
We are seeking a proactive Intern in Translation and Quality Assurance to support our Quality team in activities related to medical devices regulated by ANVISA (Brazil).
This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in both linguistic adaptation of medical content and quality assurance processes in a highly regulated industry.• Translation Support
o Assist in translating and adapting technical, regulatory, and quality documents ( ensuring accuracy, terminology consistency, and compliance with ANVISA requirements.
o Translation of regulations, normative instructions and other associated documents published by ANVISA from Brazilian Portuguese to English.• Quality Assurance Support
o Assist with the customer complaint process- communication with stakeholders, QMS control to ensure compliance with ANVISA RDC 665/2022 requirements
o Assist in the review and organization of quality system documentation (SOPs, records, reports) to ensure compliance with RDC 665/2022,and other applicable ANVISA regulations.
o Support document control activities, including version management and filing.
o Assist the QA team with day-to-day tasks such as checklists, database updates, and quality metrics monitoring.
  • Translate and adapt technical, regulatory, and quality documentation (English ↔ Portuguese)
  • Review translated documents for accuracy, terminology consistency, and compliance with ANVISA requirements.
  • Assist in document control activities, including versioning, filing, and archiving.
  • Collaborate with QA/RA staff to ensure alignment with RDC 665/2022, RDC 751/2022, IN 101/2021, and other applicable ANVISA regulations.
  • Assist in routine QA administrative tasks (data entry, database updates).
  • Support QA with customer complaint process

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Translation, Languages, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
    Strong written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English.
  • Attention to detail and ability to review technical/regulated content with accuracy.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work with multiple tasks.
  • Interest in medical devices, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
