Work Schedule: Flexible based on school schedule

Location: Children's Hospital- must be local to Milwaukee this is an onsite position

What you will do:

Responsible for assisting the IS technical team in providing services for general IT support activities. Orients hospitalized patients and families to in room technology and enrolls new families in MyChart/My Chart Bedside. Primary point of contact for troubleshooting technology issues with the MyChart Bedside tablets. Cleans and re-provisions iPads after patient discharge or transfer. Provides a positive point of contact at the start of the family experience.

What you will need:

• Associates degree in computer science, information systems, or a related program, with current enrollment in such a program, or equivalent knowledge.

Experience

• Requires one year of customer service experience including conflict management situations.

• Experience with personal computers and tablets.

• Bilingual skills preferred.

• Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment preferred

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children's values and support our mission and vision.

• Critical thinking skills required to make independent decisions and problem solve in a complex, fast paced environment.

• PC troubleshooting knowledge or experience required.

• Requires basic, current knowledge in one or more operating systems, including Windows.

• Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve issues within the MyChart Bedside application as well as issues with the tablets on which the software is deployed

• Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, and prioritization skills are essential.

• Exudes confidence and a calm demeanor when faced with stressful situations-effectively diffusing negativity.

• Ability to assess demeanor of internal and external customers, adapting approach when faced with those impacted by stress or trauma

• Ability to work independently or as a team.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Provides services in a setting where there is potential for exposure to blood and other high risk body fluids, chemotherapy agents, communicable disease and hazardous materials, chemicals, and waste.

• Work is performed inside on a regular basis.

• Some evening, weekend and holidays.
