JOB SUMMARY:
Spend your summer at the center of how Molina builds and supports its provider network. This 10-week, paid internship pairs you with Provider Relations professionals at work that reaches real providers and members — provider outreach and education, network performance analytics, and process improvement. You will own a project from question to recommendation, present your findings to leaders, and leave with healthcare industry insight, a professional network, and experience you can point to on day one of your career.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Partner with Provider Relations on outreach, education and onboarding support for our provider network. Research and help resolve provider inquiries, and help prepare provider communications and training materials. Sit in on joint operating committee and provider meetings, capture follow-ups, and see how partnerships are managed. Support network adequacy, access and performance reporting, including provider data validation and Excel/Power BI dashboards. Turn analysis into clear, concise recommendations for non-technical audiences. Projects may include: a provider directory accuracy audit, a network adequacy dashboard refresh, a provider onboarding/education toolkit, or a JOC reporting package refresh.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Curious, self-motivated and comfortable asking questions in a fast-moving team. Clear, professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and good time management across multiple priorities. Comfort with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and internet research; interest in data and analytics a plus. Strong critical thinking and problem solving, and the judgment to handle confidential information in compliance with HIPAA.
