Position Summary
Greenberg Traurig is pleased to offer a structured non-credit internship program developed in partnership with Clayton State University. This program is designed to provide high-potential students with meaningful, hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced legal environment. The selected intern will be placed in one of three tracks based on individual interests and academic background: the Pre-Law Track, the Paralegal Studies Track, or the Legal Operations Track.

Key Responsibilities
Track 1 – Pre-Law
Gain substantive exposure to the practice of law by working alongside attorneys across one or more of the firm’s practice groups. This track is ideal for students who intend to pursue a career as an attorney, and who wish to develop a deeper understanding of legal practice, professional responsibility, and the day-to-day realities of working in a large law firm environment.
Responsibilities may include:
• Providing support to litigation attorneys and paralegals on active matters
• Shadowing attorneys across one or more practice groups to observe client
meetings, depositions, hearings, or other legal proceedings, as appropriate
• Assisting with basic legal research tasks under attorney supervision
• Assisting attorneys in drafting correspondence and other work product
• Assisting with trial preparation, as needed
Track 2 - Paralegal Studies
Gain direct exposure to the legal profession by working alongside experienced paralegals and attorneys within the firm's litigation practice group. This track is ideal for students pursuing a career in law, paralegal studies, or related legal fields.
Responsibilities may include:
• Providing support to litigation attorneys and paralegals on active matters
• Organizing and maintaining case files, both electronic and hard copy
• Assisting in the preparation of routine court binders
• Assisting in tracking and scheduling court appearances, depositions, and hearings
• Providing administrative support related to court proceedings
• Preparing basic legal correspondence
• Assisting with trial preparation, as needed
Track 3 - Legal Operations
Gain broad exposure to the business functions that support a large, multi-office law firm. This track is ideal for students interested in business administration, operations management, marketing, human resources, technology, or accounting within a professional services environment.
Responsibilities may include:
• Gaining knowledge and practical experience working across multiple operational departments
• Rotating through our operational departments including Accounting, Human Resources, Marketing, and Office Management
• Assisting with department-specific projects and day-to-day operational functions
• Contributing to process improvement initiatives and administrative projects as assigned

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 required
Technology
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required
• Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly
• Understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and responsible use in a professional environment.
