The intern will provide support across various operational and technical areas, focusing on documentation, workflow analysis, system enhancements, testing, and reporting. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in understanding and improving processes, as well as leveraging data and technical solutions to drive value.
Essential Functions:

Assists in the development and deployment of workstream enhancements, new products, and new partnerships

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and alignment with organizational goals

Assists in configurations for underwriting rules in Agenium and illustrations in CalcFocus, learning the platforms, and addressing business needs

Implements configurations and improvements in alignment with technical and operational requirements

Supports reporting efforts by becoming familiar with Business Intelligence (BI) and Business Analytics (BA) methodologies and tools

Connects data insights to business processes, learning and helping to unlock data value and support data driven decision-making

Supports program testing efforts, learning and applying methodologies for testing and quality assurance

Provides feedback on testing outcomes and collaborates on resolutions

Collects, organizes, and maintains Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to processes, systems, and platforms

Documents and analyzes workflows in underwriting, new business, and claims to help identify opportunities for improvement
Education & Experience

Business major, preferably in business or risk management

Completion of junior year preferred

Interest in life insurance career

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
