Based in Kuala Lumpur with antennas across Asia Pacific, ALGEM manages International Supply Chains including material & inventory planning, logistics design & execution for globally and regionally traded materials.How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Missions and Intern Objectives:
To support the digital transformation and automation initiatives by assisting in data analysis, process optimization, and system enhancement activities. The intern will contribute to improving process automation through collaboration with internal teams, IT, and external vendors.
Duration:
4 to 6 months
Learning objectives:
Gain practical experience in managing a project through its full lifecycle, from initial scope definition and stakeholder alignment to execution, testing, and post-implementation review in process automation.
Learn how to bridge raw data sources and business intelligence tools by using advanced Google Sheets functions and Power BI to build reliable, validated dashboards for daily operations.
Hands on experience in automating tasks using Google Apps Script and other tools.
Learn to translate raw supply chain data into meaningful metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
Conduct discovery meetings, gather requirements, and ensure clarity between different departments on project goals and deliverables.
Requirements
Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
Strong interest in data analytics, process automation, and workflow optimization.
Ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams by understanding operational workflows, system logic, and business requirements.
Basic knowledge of Google Apps Script, Power BI, or advanced Google Sheets/Excel functions is an advantage.
Self-motivated learner with a strong curiosity to explore and adapt to new technologies and operational tools.
Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and work effectively with minimal supervision, while knowing when to ask for guidance or raise flags
