Röchling Automotive is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Intern to support a manufacturing floor digitalization initiative at our Duncan, SC facility. This internship provides hands-on experience in quality engineering, visual management systems, training development, and manufacturing process improvement.
The successful candidate will play a key role in transitioning the plant from manual quality boards and static work instructions to digital, TV-based visual management systems across manufacturing operations
- Update, revise, and standardize digital work instructions for manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Create visual quality materials including:
- Defect catalogs
- Quality alerts
- GIFs and visual aids
- Operator training content
- Support the installation and implementation of digital display systems throughout the manufacturing floor.
- Assist with shop floor digitalization projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train lead operators and supervisors on the use and sustainment of digital quality management tools.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering and Operations teams to improve communication and process effectiveness.
- Currently pursuing a degree in:
- Quality Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Information Technology
- Related engineering or technical field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Experience with SharePoint.
- Interest in manufacturing quality systems, digitalization, and continuous improvement.
Skills Required
