Global Internship Program:

Exciting opportunity to be part of the Labcorp 2025 Global Internship Program as a Learning and Talent Development, Human Resources Intern! As a Labcorp intern, you will have the opportunity to support meaningful assignments that complement an education in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Business and Sales - and are inspiring and valuable in our mission to improve health and improve lives across the globe. In addition to department work, we support your professional development and career exploration through program workshops, leadership speakers, employee resource group introductions, new hire panel discussions and small group “coffee chats”.

This opportunity will be considered a hybrid position - Working in-person in Burlington, NC and/or RTP, with virtual days at least once per week. Qualifying applicants can also request relocation assistance.

Job Summary:

Labcorp’s Enterprise Learning & Talent Development (EL&TD) team prepares our talent for the business opportunities of today and tomorrow by delivering world-class learning and development opportunities. The HR Learning and Talent Development Intern will work alongside members of the EL&TD team, as well as gain a holistic perspective of the key HR functional components within our global, matrixed organization. They will be immersed in the consultation, creation, management, and delivery of learning and talent development initiatives. This will give the intern the opportunity to bring critical thinking and creative solutioning expertise, and see how we work collaboratively across HR to deliver business value. By the end of the summer, the intern should be able to appreciate how L&TD equips talent with the critical knowledge, skills, and capabilities to drive business outcomes and the critical role HR serves in an organization. The successful candidate will be exposed to key areas such as performance consulting, performance management, learning design and delivery, program management, as well as marketing, communications, and data collection and analysis. 

Since our workforce is global and diverse, it is critical to leverage technology, processes, and strong project management and communications tools that can be easily deployed to widespread, global stakeholders.

Primary responsibilities of the internship include:

  • Working with our Enterprise Learning and Talent Development and adjacent teams to identify areas of opportunity for growth, restructuring, and aiding new work
  • Assisting on the design and development of courses, content, and curriculum for our talent programs
  • Supporting ongoing projects conducted by our program managers
  • Working on collecting, analyzing and storytelling with data

 

Education/Qualifications:

  • Pursuing an Undergraduate Degree in Human Resources, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Communications / Marketing, Sociology, Education, or related degree
  • Preference for knowledge and experience in instructional design, and/or organizational development, and/or education and pedagogy, and/or industrial & organizational psychology, and/or data fluency
  • Preference for a rising senior/4th year student

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.  Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only. For more detailed information, please click here
