What You’ll Do:
- Implementing and monitoring EDI systems, including data mapping, translation and
- Coordinating relations with and serving as a liaison to internal users, vendors and other
external partners with respect to data interchange standards
- Performing system testing and quality control checks
- Developing and maintaining EDI documentation
Requirements:
- Must have EDI background with development
- EDI specialists should have a solid background in information systems technology and
working knowledge of data communication protocols. They must be detail-oriented,
have excellent problem-solving skills and have the ability to work independently. A
bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline is normally required. In
addition, employers typically look for several years of IT-related experience, plus three or
more years with EDI systems administration, design, analysis and development.
- Customer service skills as well as effective communication skills – both verbal and
- Good working knowledge of standard computer operating systems, i.e. Microsoft, Unix.
- Understand object-oriented concepts.
- Understanding of database objects, tables, views, keys, indexes, stored procedures.
- Understanding of software design methodologies.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
- Knowledge of Microsoft operating system and networks.
- Knowledge of SAP and IDOC processing.
- Knowledge of EDI integration tool like Axway B2Bi, Axway CFT, IBM Sterling Integrator,
- Knowledge of EDI standards ANSI, EDIFACT, Rosettanet Standard PIP 2.0.
- Plus: API development experience (Mulesoft)
