The Application Development - Manufacturing Software Intern is responsible for providing hands on design, development testing and documentation for manufacturing applications enhancements and issue resolution. Additionally, this position will assist in several aspects of software development/support: workstation setup, environment configuration, software installation, troubleshooting and documentation. The position will reside within the IT Manufacturing support group.
*This position is based onsite at our headquarters in Waukesha, Wisconsin with occasional travel to our manufacturing facilities in Whitewater, Eagle and Jefferson.
Major Responsibilities
Resolve application issues
Configure IP cameras, setup data collection systems, configure and create JSON payloads to integrate with different systems, workstation setup, configuration and software installation
Assist with software upgrades, error handling, bug fixes and/or developing a proof concept
Provide superior customer service
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree Program
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Technical aptitude and problem-solving ability
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Basic Network knowledge, IP address
Has ability to drive to the following Wisconsin location: Waukesha, Whitewater, and Eagle.
Preferred Job Requirements
Education
Pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, IT, computer science or data science
Work Experience
Has taken apart or fixed something with an Internal Combustion Engine or electric motor
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Microsoft Office Suite proficient
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
