Intern Generative Design

As a Generative Design Intern at Royal IHC, you will have the unique opportunity to conduct an exploratory study on the implementation of Generative Design. Generative Design is an innovative design methodology that leverages advanced algorithms and artificial intelligence to automatically generate and optimize multiple design solutions based on predefined criteria and constraints. This approach mimics nature's evolutionary process of variation and selection to produce optimal designs that meet specific requirements. You will focus on identifying suitable applications, exploring the market, and analysing existing implementations. Additionally, you will perform an impact analysis and provide recommendations on the necessary production methods and how we should prepare for the deployment of Generative Design.

AIDA Program:

You will be part of the AIDA program, which stands for AI, Data, and Automation. This program is focused on operationalizing the AI strategy for Royal IHC. You will join a small team passionate about technology and innovation. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the latest AI technologies and contribute to the optimization of our business processes.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and identify potential applications of Generative Design within Royal IHC.
• Explore the market and analyse existing Generative Design implementations.
• Conduct an impact analysis to evaluate the benefits and challenges of Generative Design.
• Provide recommendations on the necessary production methods and preparations for the deployment of Generative Design.
• Collaborate with various departments to share insights and recommendations.

We are looking for:

• You are pursuing a bachelor's degree (HBO) or Master degree (WO) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Interest in and basic knowledge of Generative Design and advanced algorithms.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct independent research.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with different teams.
