We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Treasury Intern to join our finance team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cash management, liquidity forecasting, and financial risk analysis within a dynamic corporate environment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen interest in finance and a desire to learn about treasury operations.
A DAY IN LIFEAs a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:
- Monitor cash balances in weekly and assist to conduct weekly cash forecasting to support a rolling three-month cash forecast.
- Support the Treasury Manager in preparing bank documentation.
- Communicate with stakeholders to follow up on outstanding queries.
- Help the Treasury Manager draft standard operating procedures.
- Conduct ad hoc financial and data analyses as needed.
- In the final year of a Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related degree program, expect to graduate upon completion of the internship.
- Basic understanding of corporate finance and treasury principles.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; some experience with financial software is a bonus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
