Project Title: Automation of Capex Impact Summary for Loading and Process Changes
Project Description: The Industrial Engineering (IE) team is responsible for analyzing Capex impact resulting from loading changes driven by supply chain dynamics and process changes affecting key metrics.
Currently, each Area IE analyzes the Capex impact for their respective areas and submits data to the IE coordinator, who consolidates the information. This semi-automated process, using Excel macros and manual sanity checks, takes approximately 2 working days.
To streamline this workflow, the project aims to develop a platform that enables:
(1) IE coordinators to consolidate Capex impact with a single click, including automated sanity checks.
(2) Area IEs to self-verify Capex impact for their respective areas.
Objective: Build a platform that automates Capex impact consolidation and validation, reducing manual workload and turnaround time for the IE team.
Learning opportunities: Interns who demonstrate strong technical capabilities, ownership, and collaboration may be considered for full-time opportunities within the Planning IE or related engineering teams
Scope: Develop linkage between individual Area Capex impact files and the overall summary file.
Create an overall Capex impact summary for stakeholder review and alignment (e.g., Capex, tool quantities).
Develop a web-based interface to publish consolidated results to stakeholders.
Learning Opportunities: Exposure to semiconductor manufacturing planning and tooling strategies.
Hands-on experience in web development, data modeling, and automation.
Collaboration with cross-functional engineering and planning teams.
Understanding of capacity modeling and scenario analysis in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Deliverables: A web-based Capex impact summary platform with one-click automation and integrated sanity checks.
Impact of Project: Automating the Capex impact summary process will significantly reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and allow IE teams to focus on workstation optimization and cost reduction initiatives
Skillset Require: Programming (Python), Data visualization (Tableau, Power BI), Web development, Analytical thinking and problem-solving, Familiarization with Planning concept• Course of interests: Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or related Engineering fields.• Duration Period: min 5 months (Semester Internship from July 2026 to December 2026)
