TRAINEE: Enhance Revenue Management System ModelsIn the airline industry, Revenue Management and Price Optimization are highly strategic areas. This domain has evolved significantly—from early leg-based optimization to today’s sophisticated network revenue management, bid-price control, and dynamic pricing. In a very competitive market with established leaders (PROS) and aggressive new entrants (FLYR), cutting-edge price optimization capabilities are key differentiators that directly impact airline profitability.
Moreover, the industry’s shift toward NDC and Offer/Order distribution models introduces new challenges in offer optimization and adds substantial scientific complexity.
In this context, the REV division supports airlines in developing state-of-the-art revenue management solutions through advanced optimization techniques, a modern data engineering platform, and comprehensive professional services and implementation support.
The Revenue Management System (RMS) is a cornerstone of airline operations, driving accurate forecasting and optimising pricing strategies to maximise revenue. This internship offers an opportunity to contribute to the evolution of these systems by enhancing the underlying models that power decision-making.
This internship places you at the intersection at the intersection of analytical modelling, machine learning, and operational research, providing a unique environment to apply advanced techniques to real-world challenges.
